War has broken out in miniature across the Swordfish offices, as David and Colin try to outdo each other with their flying skills (or lack of them) at the controls of their little and not so little RC helicopters. Hopefully it’s just a boys and their toys fad.
Blades crossed
Never knowingly upstaged
At the recent, and fairly prestigious, Pharmaceutical Marketing Society Advertising Awards up in old London town, some of the Swordfish crew take a bow for the final curtain call. If you want to know who the comedian on the end is next to Jason Manford – that’s our Ilya.
Sitting pretty
The ‘Swordfish orange’ sofas from Ikea have been starting to look a little past their best recently; So we ordered a brand-spanking-new pair of leather sofas from Italy – where else? They finally arrived this week and the old uns got unceremoniously dumped out in the corridor. Hopefully, John will find them a nice new home via eBay.
Now the Swordfish offices are graced by a fine pair of dead-posh black and chrome sofas sitting pretty next to the ‘Big Match’ fussball table!
Half way house?
Break a leg…

Swordfish Advertising is among the finalists at the national Roses Creative Awards 2012. Our press work for Nuffield Health has been nominated for an award in two categories – ‘best press campaign’ and ‘best public sector press ad’. Hurrah. Now, all we need to do is keep our fingers crossed for the next 6 weeks, until all is revealed at the awards night…
Roman Holiday
It’s the early hours during our Xmas Jolly in Rome this winter, and Julian (out of shot) has obviously just ordered another pint of Grappa for Sarah. Much to the obvious displeasure of not just Sarah, but the bloke in the poster behind her.
Roman Holiday
The first evening out in Rome on our Xmas jolly – simply pick a nice local restaurant, find a table outside by the heater, select a dish… Umm, OK. I think we’ll have the meatballs…
Roman Holiday
Swordfish has been doing its bit to help the Eurozone financial crisis this Christmas, by flying over to Rome and buying lots of beer! We discovered that Rome’s a great place for walking off the effects of extreme alcohol-indulgence. A tour of the old city for example, where the Swordfish girls posed for the camera between two old ruins.
Roman Holiday
We partied hard when we all flew over to Rome for our Christmas 2011 Jolly. Yet John still managed to get up on Sunday morning just in time to do a bit of Pontiff Spotting in St Peter’s Square.
Post-it modernism?
If, unlike me, you’ve always been on the look out for cast-iron proof that French office workers have far too much time on their hands, then take a look at this colourful Guardian story…
